# AIVory Architect - Stop Wrestling with Terraform

We're secretly rolling out AIVory Architect, a visual IDE for cloud infrastructure that makes Terraform, Kubernetes, and Docker management actually enjoyable.

Okay, so… we built another product for AIVory: AIVory Architect.
And the reason is simple: AI or not, it took me weeks to actually setup Terraform/Kubernetes, make it secure etc etc. So I looked around, noticed that there isn’t many visual editors around and decided to do that as a side project.
So, here’s what it does: the plugin gives you a visual interface for your cloud infrastructure. You can drag VMs, databases, load balancers, GPU instances onto a canvas, connect nodes to define dependencies, auto-generate clean Terraform files with proper dependency resolution, deploy directly from your IDE with real-time progress, manage Kubernetes pods visually, SSH into containers, store credentials securely in an integrated vault, and edit Docker Compose stacks visually. AWS, Azure, GCP, Hetzner, RunPod, DeepInfra - all supported.
I implemented that fairly quickly. And then began using it for my own infrastructure. But then I wondered if I could add the core Kubernetes commands on top. So I added that and it turned into a monitoring tool. Then Jenni asked me to add Docker & Docker Compose tools, so now it does that too.
The tool lives as a JetBrains plugin (IntelliJ IDEA - with web and vscode in the works), so it fits right into your existing workflow. It’s got automatic topological sorting for dependencies, streaming deployment output, state file parsing, and a diff viewer so you know exactly what changes before applying them. The canvas has grid snapping, zoom/pan, auto-save - all the things you’d expect from a proper visual editor.
There’s a free tier and you can try it out immediately. Some panels may be blurred, but it gives you a great idea of its capabilities.
Check it out on the JetBrains Marketplace or visit app.aivory.net/architect/plans for more details.
Cheers, Paul
P.S. This is still in early rollout mode, so reach out to me if you have any feedback whatsoever! If you try it, let me know what breaks or what you’d like to see. GitHub issues welcome: github.com/aivorynet/aivory-architect
