# AIVory - We're Doing Compliance Now

The AI assistant didn't work. After 18 months and a failed launch, we pivoted to catching code compliance violations in real time as AI writes code.

Writing this from San Francisco - back in the city with self-driving cars and people actually building stuff. Perfect timing, because I’ve got news.
Remember AIVory? The AI assistant we launched in May? Yeah, that didn’t work. And I am not hiding it.
We spent 18 months building an AI butler before “Agentic AI” was even a common term. By launch, Microsoft had published their “Work Trend Index 2025” describing the exact same thing. Big players told us they’d been working on it for months. Our focus group didn’t get it - they wanted single-product solutions. We had to count our losses. I felt pretty crushed.
But here’s what I learned from using AI to code: it makes you faster AND lazier. When you’re getting hundreds of lines every few minutes, you stop inspecting. You glance over it, accept the gray areas, move on. That cost me weeks of fixes before launch.
No one’s tackling this problem. What we need is real-time inspection AS the AI writes code. A Cloudflare for code - catch issues before they hit your codebase, let AI fix its own mistakes on the fly. Less noise.
That’s what AIVory does now.
What It Does Real-time compliance scanning as you write. GDPR, HIPAA, SOC 2, PCI-DSS, ISO 27001, OWASP Top 10, CCPA - the whole alphabet soup. One-click fixes. 30 seconds to set up.
We kept the multi-agent architecture from the original AIVory but pointed it at your codebase instead of emails. Works with human code and AI-generated code - that’s the point. AI writes fast but not always compliant.
Free version available as MCP endpoint and JetBrains plugin. OWASP Top 10, 100 scans/day. Premium is $39/month if you need more.
Try the free version. Break it. Tell me what sucks. Check it out at aivory.net.
This feels more honest - solving a problem I actually experienced, not one I theorized about. Being back in SF for conferences and networking is perfect timing. Looking forward to showing people something that actually solves a real pain point.
Cheers, Paul
P.S. If you’re in SF and want to chat, hit me up. And if you try the plugin - seriously, try it and tell me what’s broken. If it actually helps, message me for a discount on the full version. Let’s keep this going :)
P.P.S. As it’s becoming more and more of a theme of mine - I hid an easter egg on the new website, too. See if you can find it.
