# Flexible Elixir - Phoenix Without the Setup

Flexible Elixir for JetBrains IDEs: one-click SDK downloads, asdf and mise detection, Credo linting, a debugger, 50+ Phoenix templates and HEEx support.

Next up: Flexible Elixir.
We built this one for our own production Elixir projects, which is usually the right reason to build a thing.
The bit I’m happiest about is SDK handling. One-click download straight from the official Elixir releases, plus auto-detection of whatever you already have lying around - system paths, asdf, mise/rtx, kiex. No more “which Elixir is this project even using”.
Then: Credo linting built in. A debugger with breakpoints, stepping and Elixir-aware variable inspection. 50+ live templates for Elixir and Phoenix - type live or handle_event and the scaffolding appears.
Documentation gets extracted straight out of BEAM compiled files, so you get docs for dependencies without needing their source. Completion works the same way, reading compiled SDK modules. HexDocs is wired in for the rest.
EEx, HEEx and LEEx templates are highlighted properly. HEEx completion and ~H sigil language injection are in there too, still marked experimental because they honestly are.
And then the usual - Go to Definition, Find Usages, rename refactoring, structure view, pipe operator completion with Enum/String/Map, struct field completion. Nothing exotic. It just has to work, and it does.
