# Flexible Solidity - I Accidentally Built a JetBrains Plugin

Launching Flexible Solidity, a professional Solidity IDE plugin for IntelliJ IDEA with complete language support, security checks and templates.

So I accidentally built a JetBrains plugin.
You know how it goes - you’re working on your main project (AIVory in my case), hit a wall, need to clear your head. Some people go for a walk. I… do projects like this.
Turns out Solidity support for JetBrains IDEs could use some love. There is one other plugin, but it lacks core features and the language implementation itself is buggy. And since I was already knee-deep in smart contracts, I figured why not fix it?
Three months later: here’s Flexible Solidity (plugins.jetbrains.com/plugin/28744-flexible-solidity).
It’s got everything you’d actually want - proper auto-complete, inline documentation, security checks, refactoring that doesn’t break your contracts. At one point I just kept adding features I found useful from my other plugins - honestly, it was just too much fun.
If you’re into Ethereum development and use JetBrains, give it a try.
Now back to AIVory. Goal is to have it released by end of week, ready for TechCrunch Disrupt. No pressure :)
